Who we are

Since 2007, Star Duck Charities has served hundreds of St. Joe’s kids by raising funds to help with basic needs like schools supplies, but St. Joe’s counts on us to bolster key childhood events like birthday parties, holidays, cookouts, sporting events, and hiking trips.

Originally volunteers at the “Duck Pond” booth for St Joe’s annual fund raising picnic, our members formed Star Duck Charities as a way to do more year-round for children in need all throughout the Greater Louisville area. With six founding board members and over fifty volunteers, Star Duck Charities aims to provide much needed items and services to some of Louisville’s youngest in need.

At Star Duck Charities, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, 100% of all funds and donated items will go directly to children in need; none of our members or volunteers profit from donations.

We believe in working for our community, in everyday people making a difference in the lives of others. We believe every kid deserves attention, recognition, and enrichment. When St. Joe’s children need help, Star Duck Charities is there.

Programs and Events

  • Every month, the volunteers of Star Duck Charities work with St Joseph’s Children’s Home to make sure no child’s birthday passes without celebration. Your donation of $100 makes a child’s birthday special this year. Make an impact here.

  • One of the many struggles facing the kids of St. Joe’s is affording school supplies. A $50 donation makes sure that a child has a backpack filled with everything they need for the coming school year. Supply donations are also welcome! Make an impact here.

  • The holidays can be a be tough when you feel like you’re facing them alone. A $200 donation makes sure a child doesn’t face that feeling this year. Make an impact here.
